Custom Shop

The Golf Club Trader has a full service custom shop located at our headquarters in South Florida where we offer professional club assembly & club repair services performed by a PGA master club builder. Here is a list of the services that we offer:

 

Re-shafting: $15

Includes removal of existing shaft, installation of new shaft, cutting to desired playing length & installation of new grip.

 

Re-gripping: $4

Includes removal of existing grip + installation of new grip.  We can also build up grip with extra wraps of tape to your specifications.

 

Save Grip: $5

Includes carefully removing existing grip from shaft.  Please note that some grip models and/or grips that are too worn are not able to be removed. 

 

Bend Loft/Lie: $6

Did you know that you should get your loft/lie checked on your irons & wedges at least once a year?  Especially if you play forged irons that feature a soft carbon steel head, the loft/lie can change quite dramatically, particularly if you hit off mats on the driving range or primarily play golf in an area with hard ground.

 

Extend Club: $15

Includes removal of existing grip, installing a shaft extension, cutting to the desired playing length & re-installing grip.

 

Shorten Club: $10

Includes removal of existing grip, cutting to the desired length & re-installing grip.

 

Tip-Prepping: $3

Includes sanding the tip of the shaft to get it ready for installation.

 

Tip-Prepping / Tip-Trimming: $4

For .370 tip shafts only. Includes tip-trimming per manufacturer recommendations & sanding the tip of the shaft to get it ready for installation.

 

Shaft Extraction: $10

Includes safely removing the shaft (graphite or steel) from your club & cleaning out the hosel of epoxy.

 

Swing Weight: $12

Includes altering the swing weight on your golf club.  This can be achieved in multiple ways.

 

Change Ferrule: $18

Includes removal of shaft, cleaning out the hosel & shaft of epoxy, & installing new ferrule on club.

All components must be purchased through The Golf Club Trader, we will not install any components purchased elsewhere.  This policy is to ensure quality through authenticity of the shaft/grip  & warranty protection should there be an issue with the club in the future.
